Come join our group for informal French conversation and fun in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Native and non-native French speakers of all ages are welcome!"

This was the introduction to the Lexington Francophones website as it appeared in 2021,  based on the original website created in 2019.

With any longstanding group, there have been many changes. We have alternately used Meetup.com as a format and we have used other options. There is still a language group that meets most frequently at KY Native on Sundays where you will hear beginners and natives practicing French and maybe even Spanish. This website represents the history of the Lexington Francophones from its origins in 2010 to December 2025. As organizer of the Lexington Francophones from 2021-25, as well as a member from 2010, I have transformed this page into a personal look back at the history of the group over its first fifteen years. It has been a wonderful journey with many laughs and great friendships!! Bienvenue!
